1. Controller

The controller responsible for the processing of personal data on this site is:

2. Data we process

  • Account data (only if you create a staff account): email address and a hashed password.
  • Trip planning input: cities, waypoints, dates and preferences you enter to generate an itinerary.
  • Server logs: IP address, user agent and timestamp, used for security and abuse prevention.
  • Local browser storage: your theme preference and recent routes are stored in your browser only.

3. Legal basis

We process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a service you request), Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating and securing the site), and, where applicable, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent).

4. Service providers

We use the following processors who may receive personal data strictly to provide the service:

  • Lovable Cloud / Supabase — hosting, authentication and database (EU region).
  • OpenStreetMap & OSRM — map tiles and routing.
  • Open-Meteo — weather forecasts.
  • AI providers via Lovable AI Gateway — itinerary generation. Trip prompts you enter are sent to these providers; do not include sensitive personal data in trip prompts.

5. Cookies

We only use technically necessary local storage (theme preference, session). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

6. Retention

Account data is kept until you delete your account. Server logs are retained for up to 30 days. Trip plans you save are kept until you delete them.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise your rights, contact us at tl@datawaregroup.com.

8. International transfers

Some processors may be located outside the EEA. Where this is the case, transfers are safeguarded by Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent measures.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always available on this page.
